Mark Zuckerberg’s Yacht Faces Scrutiny After Missing Distress Call Off Alaska
Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta, is under fire for the failure of his yacht, Launchpad, to respond to a distress call issued via radio on August 3 for the rescue of a skiff stuck off the coast of Alaska. According to maritime law, ships must answer distress calls barring any danger to their safety. The spokesman for Zuckerberg clarified that he and his family were not aboard and that the team could not get the message since they were on another frequency.
